From a very early age I have been fascinated and mesmerised by lettering and to this day will always doodle letters by default. My inclination towards typography and graphic design was clear from my teenage onwards and I am proud to belong to a generation who were trained in the magical art of letterpress printing and cut their teeth with Letraset and galley sheets of typesetting.
I rather miss the real craft of paste up, not to mention the smell of cow gum, but I am even more charmed by the ease and creativity that working on a Mac has brought me and I still sometimes pinch myself at the speed with which I can change my mind with a font and watch it transform itself before my eyes.
